Papaya Hotel & Spa has been modelled on Mr Zaragovia’s Nayara Hotel, Spa & Gardens in the Arenal rainforest. Since opening its doors in 2010, Nayara has been an extraordinary success and is now listed by Travel + Leisure and Condé Nast as one of the world’s top ten hotels, as well as enjoying the incredible position of having the 2nd highest Trip Advisor rating for a hotel anywhere in the world. The Zaragovia team will operate Papaya Hotel & Spa employing their award-winning service and management standards. 70 rooms of accommodation, comprising 55 luxuriously appointed one- and two-bedroom villas each nestled into the spine of land between our two beaches, will offer a 5-star retreat experience in a natural, contemporary setting.
Walking and golf cart trails will connect the hotel villas to the hotel amenities as well as the beach, beach house, hiking trails, nature park and farm.
Rendezvous Bay homeowners will have full access to the hotel facilities, which include two restaurants, bars, pools, a state-of-the-art gym overlooking the eastern beach, a wellness spa with private tropical gardens and yoga pavilion, and tennis courts.

The hotel’s 55 one and two bedroom villas are inspired by their incredible natural wonderland setting at the heart of Rendezvous Bay. Constructed to maximize the sense of light, peace and nature for visiting guests, all are designed to invite the calm of the tropical forest and beauty of the beach inside. Spa, Gym & Garden
One of the standout features of Papaya is undoubtedly the spa. Conceptualized as a destination in its own right, its forested hillside location means guests will be surrounded by nature. Verdant walkways through lush foliage lead to the outdoor yoga and meditation pavilions, the spa’s private tea garden and individual spa cabanas where treatments are administered by expert hands. The state-of-the-art gym will be perched on the hillside looking down over the eastern beach and the Caribbean Sea.

Restaurants & Bars
Papaya’s principle restaurant overlooks the picture perfect western beach and includes private dining and two bar areas. The Beach House private club tucked in the tropical forest just behind the beach will offer more casual dining. In addition, guests will have the option of being served in their private villa accommodations.
Pools
Rendezvous Bay is only two kilometres from English Harbour but once you come through the hills you are entering a separate paradise. Guests will enter the main hotel building and glimpse spectacular views of the entire bay. Descending down the spine of land will be the two infinity pools and waterfall leading to the beach path. A dedicated family pool is also planned.
